Vilhelm Kjellsson

Product Manager

What do you do at iFACTS?

My primary role at iFACTS is as Product Manager where I am responsible for product development, conceptualization, and continuously improving the platform’s functionality based on market demand and customer feedback. In addition, as CISO, I oversee information security at iFACTS to ensure we practice what we preach.

How long have you been with the company?

Since 2018 in various roles.

I joined iFACTS directly after completing my studies in IT and Economics at Malmö University, along with further economics studies at Lund University. My journey at iFACTS began as an application consultant with a strong focus on customer interaction, which gave me a solid foundation in our systems and an in-depth understanding of our clients needs. Since then, I’ve had several different roles within the company and have had the opportunity to grow through new challenges.

What makes iFACTS a great workplace?

Working at iFACTS is both fun and challenging. Our clients bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, which makes it incredibly rewarding to work closely with them to refine our product together. The flexibility of the product allows us to achieve a lot in a short amount of time.
In my role as Product Manager, staying in close contact with clients remains a key part of my work — to find inspiration, understand their challenges, and drive further development of our solutions.
At iFACTS, we also work very closely as a team. I collaborate daily with everyone from the CEO and our consulting and sales teams to the development team in Bucharest. It’s a fantastic group — ambitious, talented, and a lot of fun to work with.

What brought you to iFACTS and why have you stayed?

Back in 2017, I was drawn to iFACTS because it seemed like a place where I could do meaningful work—not just write code, but help build something that actually matters. What’s kept me here is the mix of interesting challenges, the trust we’re given, and the way the team works together. It’s a good feeling when your input makes a difference.

How does the collaboration between the Romanian and Swedish teams work?

It works pretty naturally. We’re in different places, but we plan, build, and solve problems together every day—through stand-ups, planning sessions, and regular check-ins. Whether you’re in Bucharest or Malmö, it really feels like one team.

What are you currently working on?

Lately, I’ve been working on the E-Service module, which allows external users—like citizens or partners—to send in things like claims through structured digital forms. It connects directly into our platform’s workflows, so everything happens smoothly in the background. It’s a nice mix of front-end, back-end logic, and configuration work.

What’s a recent technical challenge you tackled?

A recent one was integrating Active Directory to sync users automatically into our platform. It sounds simple, but making sure everything matched between AD and our internal model (with security and flexibility) took some thinking through.
Another challenge that stands out was when we had to migrate the core person entity—it impacted almost every part of the system and touched around 20,000 lines of code. It wasn’t flawless from the start, but with help from the team and some extra effort, we worked through it all. Definitely one of those “learn a lot as you go” situations.

Any advice for someone new to iFACTS?

Don’t worry about knowing everything from day one—just stay curious and ask questions. The platform is quite flexible and deep, and you’ll pick up a lot by exploring and talking to people.
Try to think beyond just your own code. We work closely with QA, BA, and consultants, so collaboration is a big part of how things move forward.
And finally—enjoy the culture. People here care, and that shows in everything from how we work to the small things like fika or the occasional retreat, or just staying after work to enjoy a glass of wine together. It makes the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable.

Malin Jeppsson

Operations Manager

What brought you to iFACTS and why have you stayed?

I came into contact with iFACTS when I lived in Stockholm and worked at the Pharmaceutical Injury Board (LMSN). I was running a digitalization project for LMSN that included an integration with the Pharmaceutical Insurance, which uses iFACTS software. When I then chose to move home to Skåne in 2017, iFACTS was the obvious choice as I was looking for a smaller company with its own product where I could be involved in influencing both the product and the company. In addition, the company is run by a woman, which was unusual in the male-dominated industry I had worked in for many years. I started as a test leader, but the role then evolved into the Operations Manager I am today. The reason I still work at iFACTS is that my full potential is utilized here, and I am constantly challenged and developing.

How does the collaboration between the Romanian and Swedish teams work?

I work daily with my Romanian colleagues. I don’t see us as two different teams, but rather we are one team that works closely together, regardless of our physical location.

What are you currently working on?

Creating an external “My Page” for organizations where they can get information about their claims/insurances and communicate with the case handlers.

What’s a recent technical challenge you tackled?

To get the communication flow in the external “My Page” to integrate with the internal iFACTS application and to facilitate the work for the case handler working in the application.

Any advice for someone new to iFACTS?

At iFACTS, you are never fully trained; there is always something new to learn. Learn to understand the technical concepts of the product.

Max Huldin

QA / DevOps

What made you start at iFACTS and why have you stayed?

After a recommendation from someone in the development team, I started working as a QA in the autumn of 2018, primarily within insurance and claims management, which still remains one of my favorite areas of the product. What has made me stay is the good variety of projects in the company, as well as the opportunities for personal development when it comes to new technologies. More recently, I’ve transitioned into DevOps, which has fit well with my background in product quality.

How does the collaboration between the Romanian and Swedish teams work in practice?

It works without any problems. The work between the two offices feels completely natural, and we have constant communication for development and support.

What type of projects are you working on right now?

Right now, I’m focusing on modernizing the DevOps infrastructure and CI/CD to improve scalability and enable more automation.

What is a technical challenge you’ve recently taken on?

I implemented a Kubernetes-based CI/CD pipeline. The focus was on increasing delivery speed and stability for internal testing, as well as opening up possibilities for future further development.

What advice would you give to someone new at iFACTS?

It’s never possible to learn all parts of the product. Focus on trying to understand the customer’s needs and how your role fits into that.

Daniel
Sarbu

Developer

What attracted you to iFACTS and what has kept you here?

I joined iFACTS because of the seniority and stability of the team — many colleagues had well over 10 years of experience and more than 3 years with the company. The strong expertise and collaborative culture have kept me here ever since.

How does the collaboration between the Romanian and Swedish teams work in practice?

It feels like we are one unified team, working toward the same goals: delivering on time and continuously improving. We use the same tools for communication, progress tracking and knowledge sharing, which makes the collaboration seamless.

What kind of projects are you currently working on?

I’m leading efforts to modernize the frontend tech stack — updating tools and components while ensuring we meet high performance and security standards.

What’s a recent technical challenge you solved that you’re proud of?

I rewrote several core frontend components using newer technologies, enabling a more generic approach. This reduced the codebase size, improved reusability and simplified maintenance without sacrificing functionality.

What advice would you give to someone joining iFACTS?

Be patient – the product has a steep learning curve from a developer’s perspective. Rely on the team, ask questions and trust the collaborative process to help you grow into the role.

Andreas Lindström

Consultant & Key Account Manager

What do you do at iFACTS?

My primary role at iFACTS is as a Consultant & Key Account Manager. I act as a link between our clients and our internal teams. As a consultant, I work closely with clients to understand their business and needs, helping them implement and optimize our platform. At the same time, in the role of Key Account Manager, I am responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our key clients. This involves ensuring their satisfaction, but also proactively identifying new opportunities where we can add value.

What made you start at iFACTS and why have you stayed?

I started as a consultant at iFACTS in 2018, shortly after moving back to Sweden after several years abroad. My background in support and customer-facing roles, where I honed my skills as a problem-solver, was a perfect fit for the consultant role. What has made me stay is the unique combination of challenges and personal development. iFACTS is a place where I can see how my work makes a difference, from solving complex problems to building long-term client relationships. Here, I get to be involved and have an impact, which is incredibly rewarding.

What is the most rewarding part of working so closely with clients?

The most rewarding part is the personal relationships we build. It makes every meeting both pleasant and trustful. This type of relationship motivates me to always look out for the client’s best interest and find the optimal solutions. Seeing how our collaboration leads to a smoother and more secure everyday life for them is extremely rewarding.

What are you working on right now?

Right now, I am helping one of Sweden’s larger regions to implement our platform for their information security and records of personal data processing. Because our product is so customizable, I can almost always respond positively to their needs for specific functionalities. It is a challenge that requires both technical understanding and attentiveness to the client’s unique needs.

How has your international background influenced your way of working as a Consultant & KAM?

My international experiences have taught me that every client is unique and should be treated based on their specific needs. No two clients are the same. It has also taught me patience – that not everything can be solved at once. Some processes take time and require a strategic and calm approach to achieve the best possible results.

Do you have any advice for someone new at iFACTS?

My main advice is to be curious. Our platform is powerful and has many capabilities, and you learn best by exploring and asking questions. Don’t just think about your own role, but how we work together. The collaboration between consultants, developers, and other departments is crucial to our success. Finally, make sure you enjoy the company culture. The people here genuinely care, and it shows in the open and supportive atmosphere. It makes the job both more fun and more rewarding.
